Hi guys!
Just wanted to create a group for those that were invited to interview with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Pediatric RN Residency with the start date of August 2, 2021!
Has anyone heard any interview tips from past cohorts, how many people they accept, the competitiveness, etc.?
Also, which panels are you interested in?
Excited for the interview process... Good luck everybody!!?

I'm interviewing on Wednesday with JHACH. I chose panels 1, 3, and 4. Which did you choose?
I've heard it is pretty competitive but it sounds like they are hiring a decent amount of new grads, so that's promising. Are you from the Florida area? Also did you interview already or are you doing it next week?

Awesome! I chose panels 1, 2, and 3!
I had all three of my interviews on Friday! The interviewers were SO nice, and it just felt like casual conversation! They were so friendly and welcoming, and they just genuinely wanted to get to know you and your interests! Good luck with your interviews! I am from Tampa, FL! I just moved back from college back to the Tampa area! What about you?
That's awesome! My interviews are on Wednesday. I'm nervous for them, but I'm glad they went well for you! What kinds of questions did they ask? Any behavioral type? I am from Indiana actually.
Do you know anyone that is currently or previously in the program?
What is your top choice for units?

Good luck! You got this! The questions were mostly talking about yourself again and why you are interested in their unit!
I don’t know anybody in the program, but a friend of mine made it to interviews last year and didn’t get a job offer which makes me nervous!
To be completely honest, I would take any job at this hospital! I just want to work with pediatrics! But I really liked the hiring managers for PEDS ER, PICU, and PEDS Medicine! What is your top choice?
Ohh that makes me nervous too! Did you go to the interview prep on Thursday?
I would take any job they offered, too, but I really want NICU or CVICU, or even the CDH sounds really interesting to me. I didn't choose the ED panel since it was the only one on that panel and it didn't seem to give me the best odds. Also they are only hiring one nurse they said!
It kind of scares me to not know anyone in the program personally, but I've read great things online about it so I'm hopeful. Also hopeful because they said they're gonna have 40ish job offers by the end.

I did attend the Thursday information session! It sounded like it’s an awesome residency program which makes me excited!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you?? That’s awesome that you are interested in NICU because they are hiring so many people in that department! You have really good odds! It’s crazy they are only hiring one person for the Emergency Center... such a bummer! Hope your interviews go well and that we hear back good news within the next couple weeks!!:)
Yeah it got me really excited after listening to it. Also I saw like 50ish people were on the call and if they're hiring 40ish nurses then we both have pretty good odds of at least getting an offer! Yeah it is a bummer they're only hiring one for ED, but if you get something else you can always transfer after a year or two if you decide it's still what you want.
Thank you! I hope we both hear good news soon!

How’d your interview go today?!? ?
They went well today! You were right they were very laid back and much more getting to know you. Also the managers were all so nice and welcoming. Definitely the best feeling interviews I’ve had so far this year. I’m sure hoping we find out in the next week or so!

OMG that’s amazing!! I’m so excited for you!! Do you mind telling me what the pay they offered is? I’m still hoping I’ll hear this week but now I’m getting even more antsy knowing they’re making offers on the weekends ?
