This is a bit off topic, but for those who live in the Tampa area--I am so upset by the sudden death (suicide) of newschannel 8 NBC meteorologist John Winter. I'm only 22 and I've been watching him since I was about 9 or 10. I cannot believe he is gone.

I know what you are talking about. I actually got a little misty over it. I converted my whole family to nbc partly because I loved watching him in the morning, he was such a smart ass. I'm truly stunned and am saddened that he felt that lost that he had to do that.

Yes, I am very sad by this news. As I said, I feel like I have grown up with John. It is honestly like losing a family member. To me, the news people become more than just local celebrities, they become family because they are in my home everyday, more than once. Part of me doesn't even want to watch the news for awhile because the tributes are making me very depressed.
