Didn't see a discussion made, so I created one to update each other on notifications, etc. Good luck everyone!

I also was going to work at SNFs in the meantime, just so I'm not doing nothing while I wait I guess

Same! But since I applied to UCD they require no RN experience. And I think Kaiser too? Not too sure. They had it that way and I think they are slowly removing it but UCD is strict with it.

If I just don't put it on my resume, would they really know LOL?

😭😭😭 I don't know? What about background checks? Does it come up? It's always been something I've wondered LOL

What's the name of the job fair so I can apply next year ?

Unclassified CN1 you just have to keep looking at Santa Clara County for job posts for clinical nurse I positions. They post them often just problem is sometimes they never follow up or they just close them without hiring anyone.

I feel like they mostly do background checks for criminal history, no?

They only require no previous acute care experience and SNFs don't count!

For people who didn't get into John Muir, where else are you guys applying?

I'm applying to UCSF and keep checking Sutter and St Rose sites for Staff Nurse I positions. I'm keeping my eye on the Kaiser site for when the next cohort opens- I couldn't apply to the last one because I haven't gotten my license yet (NCLEX tomorrow!). There is a FB page for Bay Area New Grads that people will put new grad positions on, so I keep my eye on that too. Good luck to us all! It's ROUGH out there!

Did you state why you wanted to join? That's crummy if they rejected you just for not living here. I've seen posts by people who want to move to the area.
