I'm starting this thread if anyone wants to share if they applied to this program! I submitted my application Jan 3rd and it is currently under review. I am hoping to get an interview for critical care ?

Hi! I was wondering how you would apply for this program? I checked their website and it didn't show where to apply

Their application is closed for the Spring cohort, I am not sure when the fall cohort will be starting but keep on the lookout later this year!

Hey! I also got an interview invite earlier today. Does anyone know who qualifies for the “manager” references? The recruiter was talking really fast so Not sure if I heard correctly - are preceptors and course instructors acceptable?

She said preceptors and clinical instructors are okay!

I also interviewed today for ICU. Does anyone have any info on the starting pay for nurse residents at John Muir?

Hi! I also applied for John Muir's new grad program for the emergency department and I was wondering if anyone has heard back to interview for this unit yet? And how did your panel interviews go?

I did a panel interview with critical care, there were 6 or 7? people there, several managers, and professional development / educators. They asked very basic questions - stuff involving conflict resolution, dealing with feedback, scenarios in which you used critical thinking to assist patients etc. It was very rapid fire questioning, just you, no other interviewees. At the end you have time to ask questions. They were very nice & friendly.

~ $66 for new grads for day shift + differential if working nights

I was told 68 by a classmate. I also interviewed for critical care on Thursday and had a similar experience to EastBaySN.

re: John Muir ED, I have a friend who got inside info that she will be interviewed for ED, but she hasn't been notified yet. So if that's true they apparently haven't gotten to contacting people for ED yet?

I was contacted recently for John Muir's ED and will be interviewing this upcoming week! So it seems like they have just started reaching out for ED.

did they tell you it was for ED or did you have to specifically ask? I stupidly forgot to ask and have my interview tomorrow and now I have no idea for what unit LOL.

She didn't tell me the unit that I was interviewing for until I asked her which unit. My ED interview is on Wednesday. When you applied to John Muir, did you want ED?

I put in my cover letter I was highly interested in ED- I work in ems currently. I had my interview today, and it was primarily ICU and pcu which is still great so I'm not complaining. Best of luck on your interview tomorrow!
