I just started the 8 week workshop called "Mindfullness-Based Stress Reduction" (MBSR). It is offered at my hospital and most participants are RN's and MD's. The focus is learning how to meditate and be in the moment.
Has anyone taken this? I see many hospitals are offering it to staff and patients.

No, but I appreciate the concepts and have read a couple of his books. Let us know what you think.

How is your workshop? I have a few of his books and they
have been very helpful. Please let us know your impressions
about this seminar.
Thanks!

I have attended two of these workshops. Some people may find the exercises they teach a little odd. The meditation techniques do occasionally help me deal with stress. In order for the meditations to be truly effective it is recommended that you meditate daily and I don't. While I was going through the first class I did all the assignments and felt that I had found something beneficial but once the class was over I struggled unsuccessfully to maintain a meditation schedule. The second class I took had an emphasis on depression and was very helpful but again, maintaining daily practice seems to be the downfall.
