jobs?

When I was in nursing school I heard about all of the options when you are a BSN/RN.... well I work in a Peds ED now and would like to know more about my options. I work nights and I would like to be "normal" again. that is not an option where I currently work. I would like to know if anyone has any info on nonclinical jobs or speciality MD office jobs. I'd like to stay working with kids. I'm frustrated with my current job. I like the work but the hours are killing me, i'm starting to see that I would really like somthing that allows me to be ablet to make family functions. I am applying for a PNP program to start in January but I wont be done for a few years (full time school and minimal work is not an option at this time for us)

Any tips or info you can give me would be great.

Thank you so much.

Have you thought about any of the urgent care clinics? Nighttime peds, et cet?

I thought about it a little bit but didnt know too much information about it...

Do you know anything about the quality of work in urgent care settings? The nighttime pediatrics by me sees adults too (helpful as a patient, but not who I want to treat)

Any idea what the salary is in that setting?

Urgent care and MD offices don't pay nearly as much as hospital. If money isn't an issue, ask some of your docs! Now is not the time to job hunt unless you've got one while you hunt (don't quit it)!
