My boyfriend and I will possibly be moving to San Antonio this coming Spring d/t his new orders (Navy). I'm looking to find a per diem position at a local hospital. By move day I will have about 18m experience in med-surg at a private large city hospital. I get paid pretty well where I'm at because of cost of living, so I realize I will be taking a pay decrease most likely. Right now I'm at $31 before differential.
Anyone know best hospitals to work at (hoping to continue orthopedic/surgical or possibly a job in a clinic gearing towards working with those with Diabetes as I am working on getting my CDE) and what the average pay is?

With 18 months of experience, I'd conjecture you would be offered in the mid $20s per hour at most San Antonio facilities. Good luck with your upcoming move!
