Hey,
I begin nursing school in spring 10. Untill then, I was wondering what are some good jobs for pre nursing students that are field related?
Thanks!

CNA, is the most popular I would think. Check out the Forum.

I work as a pharmacy technician (I make IVs). I have found it really helpful with my math skills and my pharmacology. What I do if I am at work and I come across a med I don't know, write it down or keep the package insert and research it later. It really helps.

CNA or unit secretary.
Or a patient sitter/patient companion.
You could look into nurse tech jobs, but a lot of those require you to be a student currently enrolled in a nursing program. I would still look, though. Good luck! :)

It depends on what you are looking for. I can tell you that I work 2-3 jobs during nursing school and between them, I work more than full time. If you are like me and need to pay for school and living, then you might want a job that pays well (CNA or Patient Care Tech, etc). IF you do not need to work for money, then consider any job that will get you into the hospital or nursing setting (unit secretary, pharmacy tech at a community pharmacy like CVS, etc.) Just a little pearl of wisdom from someone who's been there, if you are struggling in your classes, cut your hours back. It is so much nicer to have an awesome grade on a test than a large paycheck sometimes LOL
