I'm a new nurse who will be starting a full-time job and potentially a PRN job as well. I would like to hear others' opinions on this idea and if it is a bad or good idea. Two jobs are very different and hold different patient populations, values, etc. I think working at both jobs will help me learn more as a new grad.

I would be leery of a healthcare facility that would hire a new grad with no experience into a PRN position. PRN positions are designed for experienced nurses that can work independent without extensive training.

Uh, how will you negotiate orientation periods at 2 facilities??? Places are NOT too gracious to extend hours to accommodate special scheds like you'd need.
Of course, a few more details re the 2 positions could clarify things.
And welcome to AN.
