I'm done with my LPN program and I've starte looking but I haven't gotten anything yet because most people want to see that you have atleast passed your boards. Once I pass my boards I don't suspect I would have an issue getting a job as a nurse.

Graduating in less than 2 weeks. I went and took a pre-employment drug screen last week. Assuming the many caffeine loaded drinks I consume during the day don't knock me out, I will be ready to start as soon as I get my GVN permit. From what I understand, that is usually about a week to ten days after graduation.

My advice is, start looking a couple of months before graduation. I applied for this spot back in mid-June. Most places only hold on to applications for 2 - 3 months so if you apply too soon, it will wind up in File 13. Of course if you wait too long, you will be way back in line. Sometimes you just have to get lucky with the timing.
