Hi guys!
I'm graduating from my LPN program in 3 months!
I've been looking at jobs here and there, but I'm kind of just overwhelmed and don't even know what exactly to apply for in the future. I enjoyed doing clinical on a rehab unit and being able to see different patients each week.
I also really enjoy doing dressing changes and caring for wounds in general and would love to get certified in wound care after gaining some experience.
I'm also going back to school to become an RN because my ultimate goal is to do emergency nursing and becoming a flight nurse.
I guess what I'm asking is, what would be a good starting point for me as a new graduate LPN?
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated! :)
Thank you in advance!

Congrats on graduating. I'm actually just starting the LPN program and I've been looking at jobs even though I have some time yet. I also want to get my RN.

The job you have is way more valuable than the job you want. Apply everywhere, get that year of experience and then you will know better what you do or don't want to do and have the experience to go for it. As a new grad that first job is the hardest, and at least in my area you take what you can get.

Agree with Alex. You take what you can get. Keep an eye on job postings online. You will see what is available on average and will know where to concentrate your applications. If given an offer, take the offer. It may be the only chance you get for some time. Be prepared to relocate or travel a distance if your area is saturated.
