Hey guys---I also posted this in the Graduate Nurse Forum, for some feedback. I figured alot of you guys are LPNs and in the same situation, or have been in this situation, and may be able to answer. But with the hiring freezes of new grads and such going on---do you think that it is any easier for us to get a job as an RN with prior clinical experience? For instance, if a New grad from a Community College---associates degree also---applies for a position and the facility wont hire them due to the fact that they are a New grad and they need "too much training", etc....would we, as LPNs be considered since we have experience. Or do they only want RNs with experience? I check the jobing sites out here daily and see PLENTY of RN jobs listed---but then check the Arizona Forum on here and the New grads cant find jobs...just has me thinking ahead. I know Im thinking long-term but I just wanted some feedback from you guys....Thanks

Felicia,
I think EC grads especially with LPN experience will fair well in the job search. There is freezes all over and I managed to get 3 hospital job offers. I don't think you will have a problem finding a job after EC. People know about the program and all the managers that interviewed me were very impressed. Keep your head up and stay focused on getting through the EC process. The rest will fall into place. I have no doubts!
