Not uncommon even before the pandemic at facilities that use lots of travelers. 4 weeks? A common traveler saying is I can survive anything for 13 weeks. 4 weeks? It is almost over!
First travel assignment ever? Don't do it. A 4 week assignment with no interview doesn't have much chance of being traveler friendly. They want an experienced gun for hire but may be willing to just have a knife with a pulse. Either way, you want have a lot of confidence in your abilities to handle such an assignment.
I only interviewed once for a travel assignment, they assume the vetting process with a credible agency is good enough esp these days. Also this sounds like a crisis assignment ? Four weeks, if money is good enough I would take it you may get only four hours orientation but pay very close attention to not make a med error and orders correctly followed called doc if need clarification for pt safety. And what the heck it’s only four weeks you can do it. Good luck ? don’t forget to go to Honolulu it’s the best and when I was there 90% travelers we had a blast re contracted for a year.

I have received a job offer without an interview. Not quite shocked given the current shortage of nurses in hospitals. My recruiter didn't know much about the unit, so I sent him a list of questions to ask my manager and he forwarded my questions to her. This is my first travel assignment and I am just curious to know if anyone out there has had a similar experience. Did you accept an offer this way? How was your experience? This is going to be a 4 week long assignment on a MS/TELE unit.
