I would go back in the hh forum and read some older threads. For instance, you can find some that give advice on stuff to have in the trunk of your car. You need to have with you a supply of any paperwork that you might require. It is also good to have a change of clothing, including shoes kept in a plastic bag (along with personal items). Never know when there might be an "accident". Some nurses carry reference books. A drug guide is a must unless you will be carrying a computer and can look things up on it. You need to make certain that your orientation is as thorough as you need. Don't be afraid to ask for more time in orientation if you need it. Bring a cell phone with you for emergencies and to communicate when not in the client's house. You can find lots of advice in the forum when you look. Hope you like your new job.:)
