I hear there is a free CNA class at a tech center in Murfreesboro. I just took a CNA class and I think it was a great precursor as I am going to Nursing school to get my RN in the fall. I am trying to get onto a Nursing Home locally. I hear a lot of them will help you out financially if you are going to school too!
Any luck??? I work at St. Thomas and I know my department is hiring PRN PCTs and NE. Or they were a few weeks ago. It's not always ideal because you don't get many hours while the census is down, but lots of departments are looking for PRN help. Maybe you should go into the recruiting office and have a recruiter sit down with you? I'd email them first and set up an appointment. The gal I know if is named Belinda - she's really nice and shoots straight. I hope you can find some work!

I desperately want/need a nursing related job over this summer and I need advice! I've applied at MTMC in Murfreesboro, St Thomas, and Baptist as nurse extern and patient care tech. I've applied at Vandy as a care partner. I've applied at Stonecrest as a unit secretary and Maury Regional as a student nurse tech. I've also applied at local Kroger Little Clinics and Walgreens Take Care Clinics.
I'm sure I've done 20 job applications and NOT ONE callback. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have completely open daytime availability but I can't seem to find anything.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
