I have limited hospital experience and its even hard with limited experience to get into a hospital here in NJ where I live. was wondering if it would be better for me when we move. thanks for yoru input..

I have found Maryland/DC to be smoking hot when it comes to the pay and availablity of RN jobs. Good luck and welcome to the area.

Hi,

Most of my friends started making about $25 an hour with benefits not counting shift differential. I started at $38 an hour per diem not counting shift differential. The jobs and new graduate orientation programs seem plentiful here. All my classmates had jobs lined up before our last semester and most in cool specialities. Good luck.

Yup no benefits. I've read that benefits can account for up to 30% of your salary so the $38 isn't nearly as impressive if you look at it like that and remember no vacation/sick time etc. :)
