Job market in LA area & experience needed

Hello, all! :typing Would appreciate any feedback on the current hiring situation in the LA area. I'm living and working in another state, but may have to move there for personal reasons. Also, how much experience is enough not to have to apply as a new grad? Thank-you so much in advance!

Unemployment is at about the 10% range. State workers are going to have to take two days off per month without pay, this was announced yesterday. Job market is extremely tight unless you have several years of experience in a specialty area.

Anything less than a year is going to be considered new grad in many cases, also will depend on the area of nursing that you wish to work in. Most definitely get a job lined up before moving.
