What is an "ok" response to the question "Why are you leaving your current position"?
I can't say "because they don't treat me like I am a valued member of the team and they really don't give a rat's behind about the nurses or their licenses and that I am sick and tired of being treated just like a warm body and sick and tired w/ all of the bureaucratic BS that is going on right now......"
Any help? I leave for an interview in a new hospital in about 1 1/2 hours. Thanks in advance!

It's time for a change. I'm looking to challenge myself with a new position and I have heard such positive things about your hospital that I decided to apply, especially about the opportunities for education/advancement/learning.... Blah blah blah...
Good answer! I really couldn't come up w/ anything appropriate. Thanks.

I'm currently looking as well, and I've got that same problem. Talking to a HR woman, she says, "And if you'd like to change areas, we don't mind training you," and it was so hard not to say, "Wow, training? I didn't know hospitals did that anymore, mine sure doesn't!"
