How can I get hospital experience when every hospital job I apply for requires hospital experience. Does a license mean nothing??

Your license means everything, without it you will never get anywhere. What I can see from your post is that you live in an area that is not too kind in hiring new grads. You may consider relocating to an area that will actually hire and train new grads. My wife graduated in Dec.2011 with Honors, took her NCLEX and passed in March and has not had any luck at all getting into a hospital here in Phoenix although there are literally hundreds of openings and they all require 1 yrs experience. So what she has done is started to apply for LTC, Home Health and Clinical positions just so she can get herself working and gain that experience. But beware many hospitals will not accept your LTC and Home Health as they most of the time are looking for hospital specific experience. My wife does have experience working in a hospital laboratory and also has a BS Medical Technology and none of it has helped her thus far.
Just try and be persistent and don't get too discouraged, sooner or later your time will come and then you will be working as an RN and won't look back.
