Job Hunting

Ok heres the deal... I just graduated in Aug.& will take NCLEX 9/14/05. I have had AN interview (there are hardly ANY jobs available up here). The interview seemed to go good ( I was there for over 2 hours). I met staff on the unit, everything seemed like good signs. The unit director I interviewed with told me that waiting time to hear is usually extended if it takes a length of time for references to get back to them.

Well...FINALLY after several weeks my references finally got back to HR. I had heard NOTHING for almost a month. SO I called HR. HR tells me that all of my references are in and that they had left a message for the unit director that all my references were in, but hadn't heard back from her yet. I asked if they would call me either way and she said they would. That was two weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything back yet. Can I call again? or should I assume that she doesn't want to hire me.

Grr...It's just frustrating :angryfire . There have been a total of THREE jobs that I am even remotely qualified for (I have applied for all three). I know I am a good worker (and I know my boss gave a great reference), my clinical skills are good (I have 3 clinical instructors and multiple documents that would verify it). I WAS nervous for the interview, but I think I did well and answered the questions positively. ICK!

Help me!! Thank You for allowing me to vent!

HR is always the downfall to a swift resolution. Hang on, but keep looking to hedge your bets!
