Even if you find a employer willing to sponsor you for a GC you are affected by retrogression and will have to wait the several years for a immigrant visa.

It's bad being a F1 student but it's worse not having a SSN. One way to get a SSN is to enroll into a college (e.g. community college) and after being enrolled for one academic year (2 semester = 9 months) you can apply for on-campus work. You need a SSN for any type of work, even on-campus F1-student work and that is your opportunity to apply for and get a SSN.
Good Luck
Thanks silver & aabc..

Please be clear that having a SSN which is valid for work only with DHS authorization will not help the OP get a job in nursing or any other field after graduation. It is tied to the F1 status and when you stop being a student, you are no longer eligible to work at all, and must leave the US. Nobody here will be able to tell you an employer who will sponsor you for work - as mentioned, there are no greencard visas immediately available, and as a new grad you will not qualify for a work visa. You will likely need to leave when your course ends.
