hey guys!
i went to a job fair last week and interviewed with a director of nursing and nursing manager that seemed to like me a lot. i ran into them after they wrapped up the interviews and the manager took me aside and let me know that she wants to offer me the position.
it is my dream job in the houston medical center. i jumped at the opportunity and accepted the offer immediately! she told me that i would be contacted by HR to do paperwork and all of that jazz, but i haven't heard back from them yet.
im starting to get really nervous! i don't want to jump the gun and call HR or anything just yet. i've already emailed the director as the nursing manager didn't have a card or anything. she emailed me back but wasn't specific about when i should be hearing back from them. am i overreacting or something? what do you guys think should i do?

If she gave you contact info I would send a short e-mail letting them know subtly that you had not heard anything and that you are really looking forward to joining the team. Or similar.....
I emailed her and told her that I'm looking forward to joining the team and she responded and said something like "you're welcome! we'll be in touch. keep that smile on your face and centering your work with your spirit, it comes through very clearly". She didn't really say when I should be hearing back. I might be freaking out for no reason. It's just my dream job, you know?
Understood. Sounds like you will have to be patient....hard!
EXTREMELY!!! should i call HR or would that be jumping the gun?
I would wait at least until Tuesday or so to give them a chance to contact you.
