Job Fair/Facility Culture

Has anyone been to a job fair and thought about whether or not the representative of the facility was a good/bad accurate or not indicator of the culture at their hospital/agency/whatever? I was at one today and all the recruiters were welcoming, gracious and made you feel that they were interested in you, with the exception of one who represented a large employer who most people in town would consider to be prestigious. She was not well turned out, never stood up, never introduced herself and generally made me feel that she was doing me a favor be deigning to speak to me. I should mention I was very professionally turned out and had copies of my resume on parchment paper, etc. and it wasn't a 'me' thing she treated everyone at the table in front of me the same...

It was off putting, Am I just being silly or should this be telling me something....

Any thoughts?

Sounds kind of judgy. Maybe she was not feeling well or her feet hurt. It's always a mistake to judge based on superficial appearance. An organization's culture is more than any single individual.

I get your point but this wasn't meant as an attack on her I was speaking in general terms about general impressions, if anyone had made a correlation between the two, but she wasn't standing on her feet and after all this was a job fair where we were judged on superficial appearance, and at a job fair all you have is a single individual, the old first impressions thing.

Employers are really unimpressed with the parchment paper resumes, so I wouldn't brag about that aspect of your interaction.
