Job Description ADON Home Health

Specializes in COS-C, Risk Management.

I'm looking for job descriptions for an Assistant Director of Nursing for a home health agency. Please share if you have one, or if you don't wish to post it, PM me for an email address.

A ballpark salary range would be nice to know as well as your geographic location.

My ADON does a lot of the same things that I do, with the exception of decision making processes, hiring staff and performing disciplinary conferences. He/she primarily reviews incoming Oasis forms and 485s for completeness and coding. Also helps out during staffing crunches by doing visits, and helps field the day to day issues that crop up in the office. Salary range is $55-60K, N. Fla. Hope this helps :)

Thanks so much for your answer. I'm also in North Florida, so I'm really shocked about your salary range. That seems waaaaaaay low to me, even for this area. Our field nurses make more than that. Is your ADON an RN or LPN?

The tasks sound like what our clinical managers are already doing. I'm trying to figure out if an ADON would be a viable position for our extremely rapidly-growing agency but can't find any agencies that currently have an ADON.

I will PM you :)
