For those of you who got accepted, what types of backgrounds did you come from in terms of career, education, hobbies/extracurriculars, etc. Thanks!

Did anyone hear back today? Still no answer for me!

Customer Service, I have a BS in political science, just regular hobbies. There were no extracurricular. You?

I was told today, that packets were sent out already, I got notified a few nights ago, so idk if they were still making calls for acceptance, or just to advise those accepted of scholarships they were awarded.

No answer for me yet either! I contacted admissions and they said that they are still making decisions. She said that they will be notifying people over the next couple weeks. :/ I totally understand, it is hard not knowing. Here's hoping we get in!

So what are people saying? The max scholarship you can get is $25k spread over the 22 months? Do we have a total Estimated Cost of Attendance?

I received 45K and I think that's the largest beside a full ride scholarship. They split up the scholarship evenly among the 5 semesters. They have information about the scholarships on their website.

I'm a recent graduate with a bachelor's in biology. I haven't had a real career but my jobs have included managerial positions and working as a lab tech. I have research experience and I've done a small amount of volunteering in a hospital.

How were you able to get 45K? Is that merit based or need based? That is wonderful!! Congrats!

Here's to this week being the week the rest of us hear back and get accepted! :)

Just got my packet in the mail!! I got in and received a 15k scholarship

@allisonnn317 congrats! Did you apply for this scholarship or were you automatically awarded with your acceptance? pretty awesome!

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYBODY!!

Looking forward to meeting you all in the fall. Dean's scholar here. I was accepted on Wednesday via email and received a call to tell me about the scholarship on Friday.

Previous career -- a variety of writing and editing related jobs up until the past two years --lots of volunteering in crisis, and hospitals and working as a CNA.

The Merit ($5K-$25K) and Dean's ($45K) scholarships are awarded automatically--the evaluation for acceptance and scholarship are made from the same application. They are merit based scholarships. FinAid does not weigh in. The Conway Scholarship is financial need and merit based. Here is the link to learn more about the JHUSON MSN scholarships:
