I just got accepted into Jersey College which use to be Center for Allied Health and Nursing. I will be attending orientation on Feb 6 and start date on Feb 10. Are any of you enrolled in this school and what are your feelings about the LPN-RN program.

Thats good its coming along :) Did you go to fscj for lpn?

Hey all...Did the school mention the use of any exit/comprehensive exams while applying?

Barnes760...which campus are u attending? I'm at the ft lauderdale campus. Also started feb 9.

@aNewMe_favored No I went to First Coast Technical College in St Augustine.

@Ican&Iwill you do have to exit out with the Hesi.

@nurseangelique oh wow that's one of the schools im looking into! You know there was hardly any information on here about it. Bvogue was so helpful with helping me out with some of my questions because she went there also. How was the program for you there? Any tips/pointers? How was your experience and would you say you left there well prepared? I heard its a solid program and they really want you to succeed....Thanks!

I had a really good experience at First Coast Technical College. I went there in 1999 for Home Health Aide, 2002 for Medical Assisting , and then in 2012 for my LPN. As with any nursing program there was a high turn over of staff but overall I felt good about it. No school is going to give you 100% of what you need going into the boards. It's up to you to go home and study morem

Oh that's wonderful they are #1 on my list for sure! Agreed, its the luck of the draw you have to study for sure. I'm happy to hear from another graduate of the program. One of my coworkers went there and i met another person who went there also just through casual conversation and they said good things about the program also. :)

It is a good school

majority of student make it to the end unable to pass the exit exam students end up with over $30,000 in dept with credits that cant transfer anywhere no diploma no license Good luck

Okay..just wondering...I am a recent grad of the LPN-RN bridge program and surprised they still havent gotten rid of that exit exam.

From my class, about 8 people failed after 4 attempts of taking the exits (HESI). Its sad because some have given up becoming an RN and have settled being an LPN, finding a job to pay for loans. Others are looking for schools to attend, but find it hard because credits aren't transferable and they hold diploma/transcripts.

Every Nursing School is hard but most stress came from the environment of the school..how disorganized it was, occasional changes in the curriculum/grading system, everyone worried about passing the exit exam because lack of proper preparation...Private institutions like these, should be last resort.
