Jefferson State Community College Summer 2013 Hopefuls

Hello All!!!!!!!! I am starting this thread for every student that plans on applying to the nursing program at Jefferson State's Shelby or Jefferson campus or students that are already in the program; so that hopeful students like myself can get insight into the program such as cutoff points,application deadlines, and also to get to know our future classmates!!!!!! Thanks in advance to all that make this thread a success.

I know I agree!!! I think it's weird that the advisors do the applications too!!! But since they obviously aren't done I'm going back up there Thursday and getting her to recalculate my gpa, I would hate to not get in because of a math error on their part!!!

She tuned it in to shelby but the letter came from the jefferson campus she's calling today to find out the reason.

I would definitely get your friend to double check..I know they messed mine up. I'm going to Shelby today or tomorrow to double check.

Did you check through pipeline to see what your gpa was? Let us know what happens after you go check. Good luck.

They calculate your last 24 credit hours, so it's not the same as it would be on pipeline. I just talked with the advisor and apparently the school never got my request for academic forgiveness, so my gpa still had the bad grade and caused it to be a 2.4 instead of 2.5!!

I am a transfer student so it might be different but towards the bottom of mine there is a calculation of my gpa for the last 24 credit hours.

That really is misfortunate; as much as we went to talk to the advisor and to find out when it is too late to do anything about it.

I know, but obviously it wasn't meant to be!! I will be ready for fall semester though!
