Jefferson FACT program

Hi, anyone else here applying? I'm waiting on the decision, apparently it's a rolling admissions process. I'm an Optometrist going on 10 years now, so this is a life changing decision for me. I have 2 boys ages 2 and 4. I hope I'm accepted and my family will survive the very tough year ahead!

I'm going to call this week and make sure all my info is in. I needed to send 4 transcripts and my reference letters should have been received by now. I've heard it's VERY competitive. I'm taking it as a good sign that I don't have to take any challenge exams since I'm 10 years out of school. Did you have to interview with them?

I never had a "formal" interview. When I read the interview requirement on their website, I was freaking out because I figured it would be hardcore and I suck at interviews. I had scheduled a tour of the school and the lady suggested that I have an appt with the academic advisor.. so I did that.

Mostly, she asked why nursing, why jefferson, what did i want to do.. and then if I had any questions about anything. Shes a very nice lady and it was very informal- so I wouldnt worry about it.
