Hello!
I just wanted to make a thread for people who will be applying this Summer/fall for next year’s class. Personally I’m really nervous and just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts!

Have you heard back yet?
Not yet! But I think I have to do another interview for the midwifery part of the program, since I applied to the FACT-1/Midwifery program. Then I’ll get a single email confirming/denying my acceptance to both programs.
They said that typically people will hear back in a week or two though.

I just got an interview offer for the midwifery MSN program, so I’m taking it as a good sign! I’ll report back after that interview, just in case anyone is curious. I don’t see many discussions about the midwifery program, so I hope it’ll be helpful to someone.

For the interview, we broke into groups of 3 students to one advisor. The advisor asked us to briefly introduce ourselves and my group was really chill. Also, we were asked to keep our answers on the brief side for times sake, which was a relief, haha. Then she asked us a few questions from the list, but not all of them, and we answered in different orders for each question. We all answered the same questions. Next, she asked us each a hypothetical question that wasn't on the list, I think mine was, "how would you respond to a patient who is resistant to treatment?" Each student got a different hypothetical question, but she gave us a minute or so to think and we all answered when we were ready. They weren't anything medical in nature, more like situational/ethical questions. Finally, we all came together in one big group and we asked the main advisor any questions we had. Overall, it was very laid back and casual! The advisors are so nice and funny, I actually had fun during this interview. Don't worry about it, really. Just study the questions in the email and be yourself. ?

I got an interview for October 13th and I'm super nervous. What were your stats if you don't mind me asking? Do you remember any additional hypothetical questions she asked?

I had mine today and they said if we don't hear back by next Wednesday we should email. They said we could hear back as early as tomorrow.
I think each group gets different additional questions. My group got one saying what is one thing you feel like you can improve upon or something like that. Another group got "tell me about a time you had to ask for help". They didn't feel like trick questions. They even encourage you to look at your notes for the questions they send you beforehand.
From my understanding, the interview is weighted separate from your application. They take notes and say based on the interview if they want to admit you or not. I can remember what factors they said they grade the interviews on but I'm pretty sure one was communication. If both your interview and application get a yes, you're in. If one gets a no/maybe, the faculty review it and they may just request more information from you.

I’m told that we’re supposed to receive a list of questions 24 hours before the interview? My interview is tomorrow at 9:30 but I haven’t gotten them yet
