Hello!
I just wanted to make a thread for people who will be applying this Summer/fall for next year’s class. Personally I’m really nervous and just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts!

I applied and sent in all my materials on 9/7. I know it’s still a little early so I don’t expect to hear back right away but I’ve been checking my email every hour with hopes that I get an interview. If you don’t mind me asking, what were your stats and experience?

Sure! I majored in women's studies and history for undergrad and since graduating have worked for about 3 years in clinical research/as a patient advocate. I have a 3.91 undergrad GPA and a 4.0 pre-req GPA. How about you?

Wow that’s an amazing resume. You’ve got such a good GPA and lots of experience. I got my BS Health Professions and shortly worked as a Nurse Aide from November-February. I also have some experience shadowing a doctor but not too much. My undergrad GPA is a 3.44 and my prereq GPA is a 3.53

Hey guys, I just had my interview last night! I was nervous leading up to it, but it was actually super fun and informative! If you have any questions about it, I’d be happy to discuss.

It went well! It was very relaxed and a comfortable environment. They ask general why nursing, what are the qualities of a good nurse, what is your greatest accomplishment. They will send you the questions 24h in advance!
Sorry for the late response!
TJU emailed me a small list of questions, like 5, the day before the interview. I studied them and thought of my answers. For the interview, we broke into groups of 3 students to one advisor. The advisor asked us to briefly introduce ourselves and my group was really chill. Also, we were asked to keep our answers on the brief side for times sake, which was a relief, haha. Then she asked us a few questions from the list, but not all of them, and we answered in different orders for each question. We all answered the same questions. Next, she asked us each a hypothetical question that wasn't on the list, I think mine was, "how would you respond to a patient who is resistant to treatment?" Each student got a different hypothetical question, but she gave us a minute or so to think and we all answered when we were ready. They weren't anything medical in nature, more like situational/ethical questions. Finally, we all came together in one big group and we asked the main advisor any questions we had.
Overall, it was very laid back and casual! The advisors are so nice and funny, I actually had fun during this interview. Don't worry about it, really. Just study the questions in the email and be yourself. ?
