I plan on applying in May of 2015 for the Fall. I'm so nervous already. I am currently attending Lawson. I have two previous business degrees, so I don't have to start completely over. Right now, I just need to take my Anatomies to apply. I'm so nervous. Anyone else applying in May of 2015?

I am!! I have a AS in Respiratory Therapy. I just need to take math 100. When I started back in the day we had to take math 098. I am very nervous!! Heard it's very competitive and hard to get into!! Good luck!!
Thanks good luck to you too. Well I am glad that it depends on the applicants who are applying as well. Have you taken your Teas yet? I take it in December. I was nervous about it until I talked to like two people over the weekend who said don't stress about it. I am planning on studying for it. I'm in Anatomy I right now, and taking the second part in the Spring. And also Psy 210. In the summer take Microbiology, and all my non nursing classes will be done. I'm getting excited.

Meeeee! That's when I will be applying also. I don't know about y'all, but I already stress it and am nervous as heck.haha.
I think about it everyday. I am just ready to submit my application. I am sure it will only get worse after i take the teas.
Haha, I would imagine so. I'm aiming to take mine in January probably. That's probably what I'm most scared of at the moment since it's the main thing that could cause you to get in or not get it.
Well I've spoken with two people who didn't even study for it and did really well. I was like wow. I do plan on studying a bit for it. Trying to decide if it's worth it to order the study guide and practice tests bundle. I've heard only good results if you do order it. I am trying to leave myself time to retake it as well, just in case. I am taking classes now as well, so I am trying to take it in between semesters. I'm just ready to apply and get that part over with.
The teas test is interesting. I'm not happy with my score. I am glad I have time to retake it.
So you've taken your TEAS recently? That's good..I'm taking mine by the end of January. I'm sorry you didn't get the score you wished for. You probably did better than you think though. What did you get if you don't mind me asking? (You don't have to answer if you don't want to of course.lol.) I'm so ready to just get my TEAS over with, next semester over with, and be able to apply finally.
I just took it yesterday. I only got 57, and that's only 86 points. I have all A's in my classes, but even with that score it's not enough to get into the night program. My advisor said I would need at least 64 to be in the running. He said that score would be fine for the day program because it's not as competitive as the night. I'm registering to take it again on January 28th, is that when you're taking it? I want to get it over with as well. Also applying at Lawson as well. They have a night program too, and from what I'm reading it's still only 5 semesters, which is a definitely plus.
Dang. Well, I'm sorry you didn't get the score you wanted. At least you still have plenty of time to take it again, and I'm sure you'll exceed your expectations next time since you'll know more about how the test is set up and what to expect. So I definitely wouldn't worry about it. And yepp, that's when I'll be taking mine. I, like you, have all A's thus far so it's really all up to the TEAS test as long as next semester goes smoothly. There's a lot riding on it..especially since I'm picky and am only going to apply to Jeff State and one particular campus. That definitely lessens my opportunities and chances of getting into a program, but I want what I want.lol. And Lawson's night program is only 5 semesters? Yea, that is definitely a huge plus.
I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting what you want. I wanted Jeff State too, and kinda still do. But if I can get out in two less semesters, I got to at least try. So I'm going to for both. My mama taught me to always have a back up plan. I really want to start a nursing program next year, so I will do what it takes to make that happen. And I'm already going to Lawson, so who knows, that may be just the spot for me. Good luck to you. Hopefully, I will see you on test day. I will be wearing the shirt that says "This girl is going to be a nurse!" It's my new lucky shirt!
