Jeff State Fall 2020

Published

Hey guys, I figured I would go ahead and make this thread for anyone who has or is thinking of applying for fall 2020. If so what are your points, and to which campus did you apply?

I have a question. Is the joint program evening or morning? I didn’t realize the deadline was today!!

It’s a day program. The deadline for that program though remained June 2 while the UAB portion was May 15.

I’m super nervous about spots being cut short for starting in the fall due to Summer applicants as well ? I have 39 points without the extra point for the informational session, and I applied for the Shelby evening program.

Has anyone received information on when we might hear of acceptance?

Can't wait to hear something. Good luck to you all!!

One of the Pell City instructors told me several weeks ago that orientation is in July so hopefully we'll be hearing something soon. ?(If that date didn't change). The waiting is killing me!

I was told they are waiting for Summer classes to end since many people are finishing up a class or 2. I think it will be after the 28th.

How are you all handing the items we will need to have completed prior to the program such as shots, CPR, etc? Are you going ahead and getting those done now or waiting to see if you are accepted? If we don't hear until after the 28th that does not leave us much time before school begins.

I have all of my stuff since I work in a hospital. I would say go ahead & at least do the BLS. It's good for two years. As long as you have a primary care Dr you can get in somewhat quickly with for everything else I don't see a problem with waiting. Now, if you're going to have to track down immunizations for titers to be drawn I'd start working on that now too. That way if you get accepted you already have a game plan in place & not just starting the process. ?

I also already work in a hospital so I have my CPR and titers done, the issue is tracking them down so I have started on that already. I am going to wait for the physical given I am strapped on cash right now but plan to get one in the next few weeks.

I was told a couple months ago by the advisors that orientation would be in August which I hope isn’t true LOL I would prefer July for sure. I work in a hospital too (UAB) so I have all my immunizations too. What step did you guys have to go through to track it down?
