I am taking the TEAS V Wednesday, so then I will know how many points I have!!! :)

Ladies I know that I am late in getting in this conversation but I am wondering is you can help me with which books exactly we need first semester. I got an email with a list....but no ISDN numbers....and there looks to be books that we might not need (NCLEX, Mosby's, etc)....

And what about the lab kit that is on the list?

I guess after they told us at orientation the other night that we would be going to class two nights a week and lab two nights a week that I didn't hear anything after that! I don't know when they think we are going to study! I mean, most people chose the night time program work a full time job. Between work, my kids 6 and 7, my husband....I guess I will have to give up that nasty little habit I partake in every night.....SLEEP :eek

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

@ justjj01 I know exactly what you mean.. I think they threw everyone for a loop with the four nights a week. It just doesn't seem realistic especially with this being our first semester....

**As far as the books, if you pull up jeff states bookstore online and select the courses, the ISBN numbers are listed.. I think for sure that we need the Calculate With Confidence Book, Pharmacology Processes Book, and Health Assessment book. I'm not sure about the others. The other books listed seems as if they will be needed for the 2nd semester when we take Fundamentals

Has anyone ordered their uniform from Meridy's yet? I have been looking at the website trying to decide which one to get. I think I tried on the poplin one because i remember it was kinda see through. Does it matter if we order that one or the nano kind. trying to figure out which one will fit my budget!!! Have ya'll decided which one you are going with? So much to do!!!!!

I think I am going with the Nano...a few dollars more...but I think it is going to hold up alot better and I think the Nano top is going to look/fit better...they didn't have the Nano size for me to try on...and the other uniform was tight in the shoulders and HUGE everywhere else....I looked like a giant white marshmallow!!! My bank account is SCREAMING in PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :nono:

just curious, how many uniforms did they recommend you guys purchase?

they recommended at least one...but I think I am going to get 2...just so I don't wear one out! For some reason...I am having ALOT of anxiety today about this....buy this..buy that...fill out this form...goto the doctor...and try to save money while doing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and still juggle my micro and psych 210 class!!!:smackingf ok...deep breathe in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol I know what you mean tvmoore5. I tried on the regular uniform and know what sizes I need in that one but I am wondering if the nano will fit any different. I might call the customer service and ask. I wish I could have tried one of those on as well.

I just ordered all of my books off of amazon for a little over $500 and that included the skills 3.0 disc that we will need. I am sure that the fed ex/ups person is going to love me after delivering all those books lol. But my bank account is screaming at me to stop also!!!! :eek:

hey teejazzy They told us they were not setting a limit but I have spent so much I wonder if we buy one now can we get one later (like when I get my grant money) I may have to call and ask.

Busymom: lol...I know!! I figured the mailman is going to be wondering what I am doing getting all these packages!!! I've never gotten so many packages before in my life!!! I am thinking the Nano will fit better because it has the elastic in the back...they just look better....I have a hard enough time trying to NOT look like a marshmallow!!! I don't need any help what so ever!!!!
