im confused, what books go with all the authors listed to the side? and we need the fundamentals books for this semester? i thought we didn't take that class until the spring.

I just bought 3 Nursing books. That's all the lady at the Shelby bookstore told me that I would need... I bought mine new at Amazon.com and they were almost as cheap as the price for the used books in the bookstore.

NUR103: Health Assessment for Nursing Practice-76.85 no tax free shipping

NUR104: Calculate with Confidence- 53.09 no tax free shipping

Pharmacology & Nursing Process- 71.24 no tax free shipping

They said that it was free 2 day shipping since the books qualified for Amazon Prime.

Do you you think that we need some other ones for this semester? I'm kinda wanting to hold off on buying the books for next semester just in case they change the edition or something between now and then. What do you guys think??

@ TeeJazzy, I couldn't understand your post about the books but it looks like there are some guides in there. haha! Did she say anything about having to have any lab manuals or anything like that? What's the online medical terminology class? Do we register for that or is it just included in the book? I'm confused!! (Not unusual for me!) haha!

i thought so as well. and i asked her about it in the original email but it's the list that she sent.. what's your email address? i can forward it to you.

the list looks better in the email. couldn't get it to past correctly. sorry guys

@ SassyRN... Are these the only books you had to have for 103 & 104? Let us know if you can... our wealth of information!!! :lol2:

i purchased Health Assessment and Pharmacology on Amazon as well a couple of days ago.. brand new as well.. received health assessment book yesterday.. interesting pictures in that one. lol

@ ready for graduation: what's the isbn# for the pharmacology process book?

I'm with you on the confused part, i got that same email and i was like huhh?! i don't know what the online terminology thing is, or if we really need the NCLEX Review book this semester, or the fundamentals

It's 0323055443

Yes those are the two books u need for 103 & 104 u don't have to purchase the fundamentals book now and u wont need terminolgy book until 2nd semester. I purchased the NCLEX review book 1st semester it is very helpful and assists with getting u used to the test taking style and it breaks everything down and what I do after reading chapters in book and going over the notes I will answer the questions in NCLEX book pertaining to whatever chapter and I use the CD as well and it helps me determine how well I know the material if I can answer the questions or if I need to study more! :-)
