JCAHO Question

I notice that when some posters complain about issues in their facility, a lot of answers relate to reporting the facilityto JCAHO. I was wondering if a nurse truly can report an issue to this agency and does JCAHO actually look into it. I here that JCAHO will be at our hospital in a few weeks and there are things that go on that I definitely have concerns about. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
