Jan test takers - have you memorized your labs?

Published

I have to admit I still don't have all the normal labs memorized. Does everyone else? Any suggestions on how to do it?

I've pretty much memorized all the biggies. I have put all the labs on a single sheet of paper and had it laminated. I carry it everywhere, and I refer to it often. I also have my acid-base imbalances listed as well, along with what major disease processes lead to which specific a/b imbalance.

It works for me.

Yep. memorized just the biggies, NA, K, Calcium, phosphorous etc... we arent robots that can restore all. we just need to know when results will be abnormal. Add the therapeutic level and the toxic level as well. But if u can memorize all of it , why not! it is an advantage:) best of luck guys!
