I graduated from JSU 4 years ago and despite what mrdoc says, I feel very confident in the education I received. There were a few instructors, though, that needed a whack with the clue stick.
Deb Curry was one of my favorite instructors -- I found her to be not only well versed in the subject matter, but funny and engaging in class, and she seemed to be genuinely interested in helping students succeed. Looking at JSU's web site, I see that a lost of the instructors I had are gone, so I'm not too familiar with the current faculty. The ones that were there when I was in school seem to be mostly the ones I liked and respected (with one or two rather notable exceptions).
Anyway, good luck and good on ya for furthering your education!
Hey, like I said before, I don't know a lot of the instructors who are there now. Dr. Latham, Deb Curry, Paula Cosper, Marilyn Bougere, Dr. Lavender . . . they were all there and I had great experiences in their classes/ clinical rotations. But I couldn't tell ya squat about a lot of the others. And believe me, we had a few less than stellar instructors too. Not mad at all, just pointing out that if things are that bad, it's definitely changed from when I was there.
