I'm not yet. I haven't decide on a school yet. JSU has a 91% pass rate on the RN_NCLEX.

I will be transferring there in May completing my RN-BSN....... the faculty there that I have spoken with are very helpful and friendly.......

.

by the way where are you coming in from.

Actually the lady that I spoke with was the RN-BSN advisor...... Her name was Debbie.......She eval'd my transcript from my ADN to see what I would have left to take.

mrdoc

lol!!! I believe most of the nursing teachers are ruded. My second quarter lpn teacher was a bee with a itch. LOL!!! She made everything hard for us. we were afraid to ask her questions because she was hateful. I hope my Rn teachers are more supportive and helpful.

I graduated from JSU 4 years ago and despite what mrdoc says, I feel very confident in the education I received. There were a few instructors, though, that needed a whack with the clue stick.

Deb Curry was one of my favorite instructors -- I found her to be not only well versed in the subject matter, but funny and engaging in class, and she seemed to be genuinely interested in helping students succeed. Looking at JSU's web site, I see that a lost of the instructors I had are gone, so I'm not too familiar with the current faculty. The ones that were there when I was in school seem to be mostly the ones I liked and respected (with one or two rather notable exceptions).

Anyway, good luck and good on ya for furthering your education!

sorry if i made you made V. but everyone has their opion

Hey, like I said before, I don't know a lot of the instructors who are there now. Dr. Latham, Deb Curry, Paula Cosper, Marilyn Bougere, Dr. Lavender . . . they were all there and I had great experiences in their classes/ clinical rotations. But I couldn't tell ya squat about a lot of the others. And believe me, we had a few less than stellar instructors too. Not mad at all, just pointing out that if things are that bad, it's definitely changed from when I was there.;)

i am an lpn graduated from gadsden state in february 1998. i just bought some land 5 minutes from jsu and would like to go back for my bsn once i get moved. does anyone know how long lpn to bsn ladder program takes?

I just wanted to let you know that JSU has a new dean in the nursing department and 4 of the 5 problem instuctures are gone. Since they went away I like the school now and would encourage anyone to consider it.
