Got a call to interview for the nurse residency program.
It's a 3 year contract.
More than any other hospital in Miami.
Makes me wonder how much difficulty the hospital has in keeping their nurses, maybe thats why their contract is so long & binding...
Has anyone interviewed or are currently in this residency program?
Any input would help.
The reason makes sense. Internship programs are very expensive. The hospital invests a ton of time and money to give you real training. Many hospitals don't offer internships, let along even hire new grads. Why would a company who puts that kind of time and money into something allow you to leave the moment you actually become proficient at your job? Unless you have the intent of moving out of the area I don't see the hiccup in signing a contract. It's a great opportunity. And like the other poster mentioned, you could always switch floors, etc if you weren't happy. I was just accepted in the same internship. I CANT WAIT TO START! :-)
Hey. Does anyone know when the job posting for the Jackson Memorial Residency Program will be posted on the website? I called and the lady said that the program starts in August but they don't post the opening until June? For the people who have already been accepted into the residency program.. is that true?
How did you guys apply? I don't see anything listed. Did any one accept the offer? How is it so far ?
I have been applying but still haven't gotten a call. I have been applying to general openings though. Have you gotten a call from them? I'm having a hard time landing a job at the hospital. I'm currently at an agency. How about you?
No I have not applied as yet because it doesn't give an option on their website to apply directly to the new graduate program. I think I'm just going to apply to the regular job openings and see what happens
That's what i have been doing applying to general Jackson openings. By the grace of God we will be successful soon.
