There are lots of variables, so it's hard to really say. Does anyone know what the cutoff numbers have been recently for Ivy Tech? I don't think the school will release that info, so you have to get it from other applicants!

It is VERY competitive at Ivy Tech. There are students that get all A's and a mediocre TEAS (80s to 90s) that don't get in since there are only a certain number of slots. Your best bet is to apply to as many campuses as you can.

I got into the Lpn program starting Aug 07 in Anderson/Muncie with one A and the rest B's and a TEAS score of 87. Hope this helps

Hey...your grades are good by most standards, so be proud of that! You are right to question whether they will be sufficient for the program...most applicants apply with straight A's and a TEAS score in the 90's. (My stats were all A's/ TEAS:97) However...you can always retake the TEAS and apply anyway. Keep trying!

Every campus has a different cut off point. It is typically something like the following:

LPN: 40

RN: 20

Occasionally, a school (like Ivy Tech Columbus last year) will accept an inverted version of the above...RN:40, LPN: 20.

That is rare, however.

I don't know what the scores at Ivy Tech Richmond are, but I know that they take 40 RN's and 70 LPN's. I am starting RN this fall and I had all A's and a 84 on my TEAS. Hope this helps.

I can tell you, I was not as focused during my pre-reqs as I should have been, I got 3 B's and one A. (I was a straight A student in my LPN program however) I scored in the mid 80's on my TEAS. I was rejected from my campus of choice flat out and made it onto a couple of alternate lists. I was planning on retaking some pre-reqs and the TEAS, but I got the call to come full time. I am going to have to drive 1 1/2 hours to a campus, but compared to waiting another year, it's worth it.

Basically, I believe going forward, most are going to have to have all A's in the pre-reqs to even have a shot.

Best of luck to you!

Hey Nikki! Good luck to you. I will be graduating from the ASN program at Richmond this December!

I'm not sure about cutoffs for LPN. At Ivy Tech Bloomington you need all A's on pre-reqs and a high 80/low 90 on the TEAS for the ASN program. I've known several in the LPN program that had all B's on pre-reqs, but I don't know what their TEAS scores were.

my friend had 3 A's and 1 B' and an 86 on the TEAS and got in the LPN in Indy but was turned down to the RN program in INDY,, I had 3 A's 1 B and an 78 and the TEAS and I got into the LPN in Indy but turned it down. Not sure if that helps ya..

I took the hour drive to Columbus for the RN program

I got all A's in the prereq's and a 90 on the TEAS = ASN in Bloomington. A classmate got 2 B's will everything else the same and was an alternate for the LPN program. It all depends on who you are competing against.
