I've been having a great deal of difficulty with IV starts, but to make matters worse, every college and university, across Ontario, seems to be shutting down its IV therapy programs! If this keeps up, doctors and paramedics will be the only ones still receiving IV training! Egads!
If anyone out there knows of any IV therapy courses for RNs which are still running here in Ontario, please let me know. As yet, I have found only one in the entire province - Fanshawe College in London, which isn't offering their course until sometime in May.
Any help would be appreciated.
