will any of you share any information that you may have about iv therapy in a md office. one of my concerns is should the md be in the building when there are iv's going. probably this varies according to the type of iv and the state regs but i want to hear what others do.
my gut feeling says that since home health nurses and hospice nurses can do iv's without the md on the premises that certain iv's can be done in the medical office without the md on the premises. just a hunch.
all info. would be helpful.

My office is limited to a 6 doc/1 NP Peds clinic. We did IVs more than daily, always with an order and there was always at least 1 provider in the office while it was happening.
thanx for the reply. anyone else have info.?
