Now i know this may sound silly - but are there ANY meds out there that can only be pushed through peripheral IV"s? In other words - are there any limitations to pushing through central lines?

Mar 12, 2006 As a general rule, the power injectors used to inject CT contrast cannot be used on any central access except for the new purple Power PICCs. Thus patients undergoing CT with IV contrast usually have to have a PIV.
