I've got some questions that need to be answered immediately if possible.
1. The baby is 6 months old and he is dehydrated.. what is the most appropriate IV fluids to be administered?
- My answer is isotonic (.9 NaCl) ----> is this right?
2. What if the person is 35 years of age (dehydrated), would you give the same solution
- My answer is no.---> again please correct if wrong
3. Why, why not?
** I don't really know** Not even sure if my answer in no. 2 is right
4. What if the person was 90 years of age, would you give the same IVF? Why or why not?
** My guess is yes. And my rationale is because other solutions will cause fluid shift that would be dangerous to the elderly.**---> still not sure.
Tried researching but all the answers I get are vague with no clear explanations. So somebody please help me.
