Does anybody know anything about this program? I know it is a very new program. I don't even think they had their first class yet. But any information would be appreciated. Thanks

I would check Ohio Board of Nursing website first. Out of curiosity, how much is this program?

I actually just started at the Strongsville campus. If there is anything that I can assist with feel free to ask. :)

I wanted to know about the cost of the program. Is it expensive? Have you started taking classes yet? Are they organized? I know this is the first year of the program and that make me kind of nervous. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks;)

It is quite expensive, but it does seem that things are pretty well organized since this is the first class at the Strongsville location. I am sure there are going to be a few glitches here and there, but so far so good. I have only attended 1 class so far, late start, but it has been fun. This particular campus is $493 per credit.

So far what i have seen of things, I love it! Very one on one attention since our class size is 9 people. If you need any more information feel free to ask. For me my tuition statement runs from 06/11-03/12 and it is $20,127 for that time frame. I am not due to graduate until 08/13. Anything else i can help with feel free to ask. :)

I am considering ITT Tech in Strongsville.. I hold a BA- do they work to get students through faster when they transfer credits in??

If you are worried about cost, the community colleges in this area are 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of this depending on how many prereq's you may need. I checked into Bryant and Stratton and it is $40,000 for the 2 year program. I'm not sure how they can charge as much as a university but they do.

They can charge that much because they are not state funded. I taught at a 2 year school and had mixed feelings about what students were actually getting for their tuition money. There are so many advantages to attending a larger school- mainly more resources!

I definitely worry about how ITT Tech and other ADN programs are perceived on the "hiring" end... I keep hearing mixed responses.. Many people alluding to the fact that all ADN degrees may soon be outdated and that a BSN will soon be required, therefore all ADN programs hold the same value..

As far as I know you would need to just see which credits transfer over. My advice is to contact the recruiter for the nursing program and he will be able to give you more information regarding the transfer of credits. I know that they do accept transfer credits, but I am not familiar with how that will affect your progression in the program. If you want the information for the recruiter feel free to send me a PM. :)

I can tell you that at the bigger hospitals we rarely if ever hire from the tech schools. Your best bet is to go to tri-c or into a BSN program. Just my two cents!

How have things been going with the program? My mom is interested, and she is wondering if you can go part-time? Thanks!

as far as part time is concerned, it is 3 days a week from 8 am until about 1pm depending on the day. i had to postpone for the quarter due to financial issues. i am planning to go back if i can get everything straightened out with gas money soon. i absolutely have to say that the director of nursing program there is wonderful! i explained my situation to her and she has kept in contact with me via email and personal phone calls to see if there is something that she can do to help. the admissions rep is also great. my suggestion is to contact them and see what they say :) if you would like the number and the name of the rep personal message me and i will be glad to send it your way :)
