It has been over a week since I took my exam- I took it Monday the 27th of September and still no results are up on the California BRN site. I had been staying very hopeful that I might have passed BUT then I keep seeing classmates names pop up that took their exams after me. I took the whole exam (265 questions) and well I am guessing that I must of failed by now because nothing has popped up. I now need to figure out what to do next and am sad just thinking about having to give up my new job in the NICU
It has been so hard to go into my orientation not knowing if I passed or failed and having my manager tell me she checks every morning to see if my name has come up. All the other new grads that have started w/me only got 75 questions and then told me they got their results posted in 2 to 3 days. One of them even made me feel really bad because she was like - OH MY GOSH I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE GETTING THE WHOLE EXAM-AND IF THEY DO IT's BECAUSE THEY MUST OF FAILED! I wanted to smack her 22 year old butt!
Anyways just felt like I had to post and vent because it was a yucky day.

I never heard any one finding out if they pass or failed in two day in califonina it usually takes 14-16 days . I would like to know where they found out they pass. I would to know. I took my test last tuesday i stop at 152> I feel the sam way that I failed.it's terrible that we have to wait too long. For now all we can do is try to think is taht we pass.

Hello,
I am also waiting for my result and I took it in California. I took it on the 22nd of September (just a little before you). I have been trying so hard to stay positive, but I do fall into a slump at times. My husband has been very supportive even though I am cranky in the morning because the first thing I do is to check for my name at the BON website and found out that I was not on there yet. I guess as long as we did not receive the letter saying that we did not, then there is still a chance that we might have passed. I am praying for you too.
Jep Jep how many questions did you get?
WannaBenurse2- I know how you feel!
As for my friends that got their results in 2 to 3 days-well it was because they would check the BON site and then clicked on LICENSE VERIFICATION and there names came up. I check for my name EVERY morning and nothing!
JepJep did you start a new job? I did and I love it and now I fear it being taken away. I cry every morning when I don't see my name on the site and then cry when I come home because I fear loosing my job. This is very stressful and thankgod my husband has been so supportive because I have been VERY moody and depressed.
I will keep both of you in my prayers.
Let me know when you guys know.
Lefthander1975,
I took up the whole 5 hours!!!! I only went up to 170-180 questions. I am not THAT slow of a test-taker, but I don't know how that happened. It didn't even seemed like I was sitting there for 5 whole hours. It felt more like 1 hour! I never would have imagined that I would take up the max time. So I am a bit scared. But all I can do now is hope.
I am starting on Monday, but I cannot continue after the orientation because I do not have a license to take care of patients. I too am sad that it will be taken away from me. But we have to think positive. Everything happens for a reason and things may seem bad now, but God has a better plan for us. We have to have faith! Stay strong!!!
I understand about taking the whole time. I took 4 and 1/2 hours and I took the whole exam (265 questions).
I know I have to keep the fait and believe things happen for a reason BUT it has been hard.
I love my new job in the NICU and I would hate to give it up.

I received my results in california within five days online, and i know some people who waited two weeks for it to come up online. I have several class mates who took the whole test (256) and passed.
Keep your head up and think positive! Good luck to you guys!

hey lefty, i took my exam for the third time on october 1, and I haven't heard anything yet either, i thought i did well, most of my friends here in CA, only waited 3 to 4 days before it was posted on the brn website. I guess the only thing we can do is sit and wait. I was allowed six hours to complete but the test shut off at 4 1/2.
