i have to write a teaching leaning plan and was woundering if this is the right phrasing for an affective domain outcome. it is for a 3 year old patient about wound care.

affective : patient will display signs of decreased anxiousness toward wound care by end of teaching session.

I think you are on the right track ... but I suggest you be more specific. How are you going to know whether or not the patient is more or less anxious? What actual behaviors, signs, or symptoms will be evident that will allow you to know that anxiety has been reduced?

Patient sits still during wound producer, is actively involved with demonstration doll, and does not resisting wound care.
