has anyone done this in California. How do the clinicals works?

Difficult. I'm in the program right now. You have to set up you own preceptor and clinical site-plus they have to have an agreement with ISU.

im thinking about joining the program, i thought there was a clinical coordinator that would set up clinical, if you dont mind me asking, what county do you live? Someone told me that they have an agreement with Sharp and Scripps in San Diego. How was the prereq's transferring to ISU, did you have any problems?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!

I'm just starting the first online Nusing. I've heard nothing about the program being connected with Scripps or Sharp. For the first clinical I know you have to find your own preceptor for assessments. If you join the program I can give you many tips. Indiana is pretty fair in accepting transfer credits. I already have a degree so it helps.

i am 95% sure i am going to apply, i already got two modules off ebay. I am just worried about finding preceptors, i dont know anyone would could do it. I just wish they were straight forward about clinicals and preceptor stuff. I spoke with someone from ISU who arranges the clinicals for CA and she told me a couple of months ago that they were currently working on a contract with Sharp and Scripps. Also, my friend was told by a nursing supervior that two of her nurses who are doing ISU LPN to BSN were currently doing their clinicals at Sharp and Scripps.

I've done the modules. You will have to get a test procter. They don't realy explain that either. I think the preceptor and clinicals will work out. it's a lot of work though.

SO overall how would you rate the program through the college network i live in Virginia. I was thinking about starting the program. please i would like a little more feedback on the Lpn to RN program with the college network. How are the test?

The nursing exams where somewhat difficult and you need to find a test procter. They advise to use a college or library but most of those places won't procter you. I'm military so luckily I used the base. The college network was good they will help answer questions on the modules they are expensive though.

what are the requirements for procters?

The requirements for proctors are they can't be family or friends must have a computer. You can't use home computer.

So, the test are exactly what you read in the modules. When u say diffcult, how hard are they? I just started and the first module I got was ethics.

You must be taking more modules. I already had a degree so most of my stuff was done. Ethics shouldn't be to bad. They teach pretty much to the test.
