ISU and Texas

Hi All!

I know ISU isn't recognized by the state of Texas-- which really doesn't make much sense.

But, what if someone was to say go through their program, test in say, California, or whatever state near them is ISU friendly-- couldn't you transfer the license to Texas? Or what is you get your license in a Nursing Compact state-- couldn't the license just transfer by default?

Comments welcome! :)

Dave- your best bet is to call or email the Tx Board of Nursing, and ask them directly.

yes, it does not make sense because the bon will tell you that they do not approve or regulate programs outside texas. in other words if it is accepted in the state that it is in then it will be accepted in texas. this is posted very clearly on the texas bon website.
