ISU Confusion over testing out courses

Hello everyone,

I am a LPN who finished all of my RN level classes excet one due to moving. Uuuuug!

There was no way around the move at that time unfortuantly. Long story short over the years I have weighed my option as to my degree completion. I have decided to do ISU. I pretty much understand what has to be done.

I am wondering for you nurses out there doing the same program, do you have any advice on clep. DSST, ect.... Who to use, who offers the classes, prefered materials?

I am not going through Excelsier or College Network, that I do know.

Has anyone tested out of the cognate course using Clep, or another testing service? If so who? Are all the classes offered?

I plan on taking a semester at Ivy Tech, and then testing out of as many subjects as possible.

Anyone out there take classes at Ivy tech to transfer in ISU?

Any advice, information is highly appriciated!

Thank you!

Jen

Hi Jen,

I had everything sent to college network so they could tell me what I lacked to get into the Indiana State Univ. program. They told me just chemistry, microbiology and patho. I was going to get these done at a junior college or somewhere on line then transfer to ISU. I already applied at ISU so I could transfer the credits there right away. I would not use the college network either they are scam artist. I don't know anything about CLEP exams but don't think I would be able to pass with a 70.

Hope this helps. I am still looking for the online chem and micro

you might try ivy tech for the micro and patho. isu accepts their transcripts and they are both an online as well as a brick and mortar college..

I heard about CLEP out of a class. Does anyone have any information how to do this and whether ISU will accept this type of program?
